I’m sure that you’re aware of the basic ways of converting an IOS access point to lightweight.

1. There is the ever popular Autonomous to Lightweight Mode Upgrade Tool.  Just remember the following for that:
   • You need the lightweight recovery image stored on an accessible TFTP server (which can be the machine the tool is running on)
   • The WLC needs to have telnet enabled
   • The access point needs to have telnet enabled
   • You need to create a text file with the following (one line per AP): ap-ip-address,telnet-username,telnet-user-password,enable-password
