For almost 11 years I’ve been running IPexpert (and the other affiliated companies) – and have been heavily involved in the CCIE arena globally the entire time (mostly behind the scenes). I’ve decided to begin a blog series (probably a blog every other week) where I will discuss industry news, trends, statistics, history and where I think the market for CCIEs is going. I view this market differently than most of you – because I’m a CCIE (#5244 – with my re-cert coming up soon!), I’m a former Cisco SE, I’m published but now I’m an entrepreneur who is also looking at various trends which are more focused on the business aspect of the CCIE community – and not just the technical aspect (That’s why I have geniuses like Vik, Tyson, Marko, Jason, Matt and Anthony – and many more helping me out from the technical perspective! ;-). I have a list of topics, and I’m actively getting requests from various friends on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter (although I don’t use Twitter that often), but I’d love to get some more ideas from the great group of CCIEs or CCIE-soon-to-be engineers out there following our blog! One of the greatest things that I benefit from, as being the owner of this blog (and company) is the fact that our blog followers and clients / students are the brightest and most motivated in the IT industry! Quite frequently I receive emails, Facebook messages, Linkedin messages, Twitter messages or calls from clients, quite frequently, asking if we have development opportunities. So – believe it or not – I’m already in the process of mapping out our 2012 strategy – and I am, once again, looking for developers. If you are interested – or know of anyone who possesses the following skill set(s) listed below, please pass on this blog post or my contact details. If not, I’ll let everyone get back to some good ol’ college football! :-)

What we’re looking for: 1099 developers (contractors) who have a very high-end technical background on any of the topics, technologies (or certifications) below. We’re looking for dedicated and experienced Sr. Engineers who are interested in writing materials – primarily test questions, videos and audio learning tools. We’re also seeking 1099 (contractor) Instructors who may be interested in teaching some of these newer technologies for us for several large clients we’re working on (on a short-term / temp basis – only a few weeks per quarter).

You must possess the following characteristics:

• Motivated – must hit timelines
• Intelligent – must be able to speak and write well (English)
• Must have a high-end technical background and be considered a SME (Subject Matter Expert) within your technical arena. You will go through an extensive interview process – even as a developer for IPexpert, so please make sure you’re an instructor and not still a student of the technology you’re representing
• It would be great if you had previous teaching / classroom experience
• 4-year degree required. MBA (6-year degree) preferred
• Must possess the certifications within the technical skill set / arena you’re seeking to develop in.

We’re always looking to expand our portfolio of beta-testers and developers. The skill sets we’re seeking:

• Cisco CCNA R&S
• Cisco CCNA Voice
• Cisco CCNA Wireless
• Cisco CCNA Security
• Cisco CCNP R&S

I’m pleased to announce that we have added to our world-class CCIE product and class portfolio – and now offer CCNA (R&S, Voice, Wireless and Security), CCNP (R&S, Voice, Wireless and Security) and CCIE Written (R&S, Voice, Wireless and Security) classes (Live, Classroom-based, and online vClasses) and self-study resources (Video-on-Demand Classes, Audio-on-Demand Training Aids and Practice Quizzers). As of today, several of these products are already shipping – and through August we will continue to release / ship the remainder of these products – and, if these products are purchased in advance – there will be a “pre-purchase discount” applied to the total dollar amount. We have also released a CCNP to CCIE transition kit (for R&S, Voice, Wireless and Security verticals) - which bridges the gap from traditional CCNP theoretical knowledge to CCIE-level lab preparation. Also, within the next few weeks, we will be announcing several new online mentoring services for CCNA, CCNP, CCIE Written and CCIE Lab (R&S, Voice, Wireless and Security) students, which I’m sure will be a major hit.
