This year I got back to a personal tradition I’ve had for most of my life, but neglected for the past few years. Every Jan 1st I draft my personal and professional goals for that year. I print them off and keep them in several places (my wallet, my office, my bathroom – so I can read them every morning and evening). Every day I ask myself, “what will I be doing today”, or “what did I do today” to help me achieve one of those goals. It’s a bit different than a “resolution”, I guess – but sortof’ on the same lines as one.
I’d like to know what your plan is for 2012 (as it relates to your technical certifications or technical studies). Are you planning on passing a lab, a professional-level or associate-level certification? Maybe looking into achieving a single Cisco certification, then pursuing a certification from another vendor. With all of the hot technologies coming to the forefront, what will you be doing to improve your resume and value?
