In the past, with the v2 exam, this was not too much of a problem because of the wonderful product called IPBlue (the only SCCP-based softphone client on the market). With it you could test all of the needed calls, XML display functions such as Services, Softkeys, and Line appearances.

In response to Cisco announcing, yesterday, that Open-Ended Core Knowledge Questions will be tested when the new Voice 3.0 Blueprint airs July 16, we are preparing our existing Preparation Quizzer engine (that we already give away free to RS candidates) with new Voice 3.0 specific content (as well as Security – which was announced May 15th). We should have this engine available for download with an interim set of questions within a week, with additional questions to be added periodically.

Many have speculated about this type of a new “Master” certification for quite some time now; what the exam could look like, how many CCIE’s or a combination of CCIE/CCDE would you need to qualify, if the results of your “exam” would have to be defended before a panel of Cisco DE’s (Distinguished Engineers), and many other ideas, but until now nothing has materialized.
Well, below are some screenshots taken of what appears to be a slip on the part of the web developers for the Cisco Learning Network Portal site, which by the time you read this and click on it – may very well have been taken off. But I am sure the first hundred or so folks that read this blog and click on it will be able to verify that it was there. UPDATE: Link Taken Down!! That didn’t take long (like within 5 minutes of my posting this). Something is afoot!

We just made a large investment in our server farm infrastructure, and have increased server performance by a factor of almost 6 times! For instance, the CUCM CallManager Service Parameter’s web page used to take around 60 seconds to load.
