Rachit Gupta CCIE #29824:

“I am happy to announce that I finally made it, I passed my CCIE lab in Bangalore on 2nd August, 2011, it was my 2nd attempt. Well it is wonderful to see a “PASS” word on screen for CCIE R&S lab score. I do remember when I was in the beginning of the trip which is the MCSE course and there was an overview for the CCIE and the instructor said that “you will know more if you will go for the CCNA” and I replied “after 5 years, but actually I’m MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CCNA, CCNP, CCIP and now CCIE R&S after 4 years. My CCIE journey started after I have cleared my first CCIE written exam on 7th of Sept, 2009 and then on 11th of JAN, 2010 Attempt made me realize how tough it can go. Then After 17 months again I cleared CCIE written exam on 1st of June, 2011 and now I passed CCIE R&S LAB on 2nd August, 2011. I felt more relieved than excited. Reading other folks’ experience, advices and comments, it helps me to identify my weakness, where I went wrong and need to work on. More importantly, I know that I am not alone in this long and tough journey with countless hours of constant reading/re-reading and countless practicing labs.

Little advice on the lab day:

Don’t panic, don’t make any last-minute changes, Troubleshooting section is challenging, Time management is the key, Read the “Lab Do and Don’t” section carefully.”
