First let me introduce myself, My name is Talmadge Almand, I am a CCIE Voice #20901, thanks in part to the great experience of IPexpert and their sister company, Proctor Labs.
For this my first blog as a Voice OSL, I would like to give some history as to my training and experience; I have 20 years of voice experience with a world class service provider, in that time, I have attained numerous certifications in the DATA field primarily with Cisco and of course moved from the traditional telephony world to VOIP, I have been working with Cisco Voip for nearly 10 years with the same service provider.
My continued study and hands-on, along with the recent experience with SIP from a service provider level will allow me to be of valuable assistance for anyone who is working towards that all important CCIE Voice.
I will be posting blogs in full support of the CCIE Voice and will be actively participating on their CCIE Voice mailing list, so I will be watching for blog questions as well as emails to provide weekly insight.
I look forward to being a valuable resource for the foreseeable future.
Stay tuned,
Talmadge Almand

Deepak – We’re going to be launching a new website shortly outlining this info, but I’m curious to find out why you need this info? It’s a strange question….
Wayne,
I am really looking forward for new website to be launched. any estimated time line for that just out of curiosity?
Soon.
we can’t wait see a lot more aout voice
Wayne, when are you going to bring out the VOD for voice ver 3 by Vik, a wonderful instructor. Last ver 2 was an unmatched product and hope it includes UCCX as well, unlike ver 3 vod by previous instructor Mark. We also need more videos showing configuration more than lectures or topics which we already can find in SRND. Would much appreciate if the new ver 3 comes out exactly like that of ver 2 with more solved video exercises, which really help us grasp the topic 60 percent faster than reading a book. Waiting anxiously finger crossed for the new self paced learning VOD.
The new VOD will be announced on our new website – we’re also displeased with the VOD Mark created. Vik’s will be much more thorough with a wealth of video walk-through solutions.
Hey Talmadge, nice post.
Wayne, though I haven’t seen the v3 VoD, I thought what made the v2 VoD’s really cool was because of the double-edged presentation ==> Mark handled the Technologies while Vik (who I believe did an AMAZING job) handled the configuration-walkthroughs.
I heard the v3 was all-talk (Technologies) and no configuration-walkthroughs (though I haven’t seen it yet)…….I think that may have robbed the VoD of its true worth.
I would suggest that when Vik
e-makes the v3 VoD, please ensure that he doesn’t just talk the Technology, but like in the v2 VoD, let there be an extra step of the configuration-walkthroughs.
Tal – we’re definitely adding the configuration walk-throughs to the new one!
