Congratulations to:

  • Bill Graham CCIE #7258 (R&S, SP)

Bill stated:

I wanted to let you know that I passed the CCIE Service Provider earlier this month in RTP.  I used your workbooks and they were a tremendous help.  The volume 2 labs really helped me with the pressure of the actual lab.  This is true for a few reasons.  First, your labs were really detailed and difficult in exactly the right way.  Second, your labs do an excellent job of teaching the student how to deal with an overwhelming volume of configuration requirements.  This isn’t something you want to learn by taking (and failing) the actual lab.  Your workbooks kept me on my toes.  Plus, there are specific topics in your Service Provider workbooks that can’t be found elsewhere.

I have one piece of advice for other SP candidates considering how to plan their study resources.  I started my journey planning to use Dynamips instead of rack rentals.  I’m sure there a lot of engineers that have perfected the art of using Dynamips for lab prep.  Personally, it detracted from my time learning the SP content.  I ended up buying a bunch of rack rental credits.  There’s nothing better than having the rack match the workbooks perfectly.  It was well worth it and I should have gone this way from day one.

My final note is that the support staff was very responsive to my needs.  This is especially true of Sean Orr. It’s not always easy to interact with Internet-based businesses.  The opposite was true with IPexpert.  Everyone was great and very responsive.

Regards,

Bill Graham

It was the level of customer service I received that made the difference. INE I emailed them and I didn’t hear anything back from them. Sean Orr got right back to me and after going back and forth, I decided to go with IPexpert. Also, I got a SWEET deal on the BLS, so paying 1/4 of the price of what INE was charging saved me some cash to use on rack rentals.

    Oh snap!
