IPexpert, a global leader in IT certification training solutions, is looking for a motivated, energetic and dedicated professional to fill our need for a fulltime Sales Assistant based in our China, Michigan headquarters office (near St. Clair, Michigan). IPexpert has been achieving record growth since our inception (featured in Inc. Magazine’s annual list of the fastest growing private companies in America) and is on track to continue seeing record growth through the expansion into additional market segments. An IPexpert Sales Assistant works in a team atmosphere and shares the joint-responsibility of a variety of important clerical and administrative activities to support the IPexpert Sales Staff / Training Advisor team. A Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth handoff of all incoming sales prospects via email, telephone and live chat as well as handling various data-entry and customer service responsibilities. This position reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
The Sales Assistant’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering telephone calls, live chat requests, conveying messages, and monitoring the flow of incoming email.
- Answering routine product questions and directing questions to appropriate Training Advisor when necessary.
- Processing sales, support and fulfillment leads and assuring leads are directed to the appropriate staff member.
- Phone contacts to augment the efforts of various staff members as needed.
- Processing sales data, generating sales reports and generating other performance-related records and reports as needed by VP of Sales and Marketing.
- Data entry to track the delivery of sales literature, products and other necessary services to customers as directed by the sales staff or management.
- Assist in the duties of shipping of sales support literature and customer orders under the direction of the Shipping Coordinator and Office Manager.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (Some afterhours and weekend work required)
- Compensation: $8.00 to $12.00 per hour Depending on Experience, Medical Insurance and 401k available after 90 days.
Job Requirements
- High school graduate, 2 or 4 year college graduate preferred.
- Excellent telephone skills, typing skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in various forms of word processing to include MSWord and Excel.
- Demonstrated proficiency composing written communications.
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented with the ability and enthusiasm to deliver above and beyond management expectations.
- 1-3 years previous job experience with customer service or sales support experience.
- An extreme comfort with internet-based communications / tools to include Salesforce.com, Outlook Email, Live Chat and General Internet Browser functionality / web browsing knowledge.
