Who is Joe Astorino?

Gang,

Since my announcement in which I introduced Joe Astorino as a newly added instructor, we’ve received many calls asking “What type of an instructor is Joe Astorino?” and or “What are Joe’s classes like?” Obviously, over nearly a decade of success, here at IPexpert, teaching CCIE candidates, (and as the owner of the world’s largest list of success stories!) – it’s safe to say that we’ve got our CCIE training methodology down! However, to answer those questions – I was given an article that was written by a previous student. This student has an extensive amount of history and experience and has probably taken nearly every CCIE R&S class on the globe (well, at least the ones that truly count!). *Note: This student has NO AFFILIATION with IPexpert and was not asked by anyone at IPexpert to write this article. Also, as a “sidenote” – I’ve already been able to speak with this student directly (several times) and have already started working on a few minor *tweaks* that will make our industry-leading courses even better! For those wondering who Joe is – and what his teaching style consists of, read on…..

Joe Astorino, IPexpert’s Newest CCIE R&S Instructor, Described in CCIE Flyer – a Chronicle of Darby Weaver’s Experience in Columbus, Ohio – IPexpert’s East Coast Training Facility

I have faith that if somebody is with Wayne and his Team, he got to be among the best .however,Its kinda strange to read a review about him from someone who’s credibility is torn away and who always tries to mis-guide people.DW ,you are a big hypocrite and the world knows it by know or will come to know sooner!

    Good class all around.
Nice to see the difference say between the NMC/360 and the IPExpert methodology of:

    1. Covering all the material as done by IPExpert vs Covering 4-5 Major Technolgoies as done by NMC/360 in the span of the 5 days.

Both offer some very nice tricky labs – albeit IPExpert saved their most issue packed lab for the end of the camp and NMC/360 offers a diganostic on Day and a Wrap-up on Day 5. I’d say overall I liked/appreciated the IPexpert exerience since some “assumed” technologies were not assumed but actually taught with firm examples at the CLI delivered. Not to speak out of turn but there are the kind of things that can probably make the difference between a candidate taking 1-2 attempts versus several. You just can’t make assumptions. IPExpert did not make assumptions, they just covered the material.

And on Day-5 the lab covered what was taught in Days 1-4. A wonderful concept I think. Sometimes people forget that part. IPExpert did not.

I am agree with this artical content , surely no one pay darby to write this becuase most of he has said it is true for couple of vendors. I have not attend any IPexpert live bootcamp so I can not tell so much about it. waiting for update R&S now.. and I hope this wait should be worthy for all of us….

    Scott,
I know you don’t like me very much. Ever since that time I did not give you what you asked me for privately it seems you have had it in for me. Would you like me to offer a review of your video since I have not sat a class with you personally? I find it interesting how you are negative towards me. While I did not help you when you asked due to the nature of the request. I have helped many others on many occassions over the years and will probably continue to do so. If you are careful to research me properly you will find I tend to have problems with vendors who appear or are not holding their end of the bargain.

Right now your employer, INE for example has a lot of great initiatives, however, they also have some other products that they have sold that are not completed nor is it likely that they will ever be completed. That is not your fault it is a simple fact. I have issues with NMC dropping their own customer base while the original product was never completed for example – all 25 labs and then doing it with no prior notice of the takeover by Cisco which did not appear to be hostile. I had issues with Heinz and his refund policy for some students and he responded that he had resolved those issues. I had issues with NLI some time back over a friend of mine who I recommended to Brad and Brad hired from another country. Brad handled the situation and that issue is now resolved. While I don’t have a personal issue with Narbik over the complete lab series, I do recall other students having paid for them some time back now and yet they have still not materialized. However the students themselves seem content with his work and have not complained per se. You have to keep up with me. I tend to care most about the products and services I spent a lot of money on. When I have spent greater than $10,000.00 with vendors for example: I TAKE IT TO HEART. And consequently, have I said anything untrue? The 360 said I did and I created a reply to each statement I made. So tell me Scott, where have I been the hypocrite? We are all human. Every single day. No one is perfect. People will make mistakes. So while I prefer to be pleasant and agreeable and speak of positives, don’t ever doubt that my eye (trained for detail) has missed the faults presented either. I just did not try to dwell on them. I guess I could, if you read my review there were a couple of issues presented. Joe as a presenter stood firm, acknowledged them, verified the correct answers, and then moved on. This was perfect by my perceptions of his role as an instructor. Did you help make the slide deck?
