IPexpert Wants to Help You!

Over the past several months, CCIE candidates have been making public mention (on various lists, forums, etc) that they have purchased CCIE Voice training from Internetwork Expert, but have not received what they paid for. To be honest, we have been happy to have a good number of them give up and come to IPexpert and we have remained quiet about it.

Yesterday, some of those being kept on the hook began speaking out loudly on the Group Study email list. In response, Anthony acknowledged the continued delays and gave assurance of full refunds…

I will not be a hypocrite here; I acknowledge that IPexpert has slipped on release dates ourselves in the past. I second Anthony’s assertion that some slippage is permissible, when necessary for the assurance of the best-possible product. However, there comes a time when the customer needs to be served and sometimes that means letting them move on. One of the guys in the ongoing Group Study thread questioned “why a product which was announced in October of 2007 still hasn’t been completely released.”

For a CCIE Voice candidate that is resigned to the idea of waiting for the new blueprint change, perhaps they don’t mind more waiting for the IE products they purchased. However, the guys that are really hurt are the ones hoping to pass on the CURRENT blueprint. It’s a shame that their needs have not been held with the highest priority. :(

  1. Color Blind – I received your email – and will call you tomorrow (yes – on Saturday!). To be honest, I’d call your credit card company, the better business bureau and also post this out on Groupstudy – it’s obvious that IE is our competitor, but when they don’t deliver a product you pay for – and then refuse to refund your money (when the issue is their inability to deliver) – that’s plain out fraud and theft. I’d be furious. Hopefully the CCIE community hears about this….

    Another update as time passes. I recived a call back from River with IE. IE is no longer providing refunds in cash. Just “In store credit”. To make it better she stated that sense the products have been provided now in an electonic format (7 of 10 sold labs) only a pro rated credit would in fact be provided. When I recive my email back from River my credit was 250 token dollars. Rip off!

To add to the fire they do not even have any of the Quad CCIE instructors teaching. They have contracted the class out to a part time GK instructor.     I used both IPExpert and IE when I studied for my Security lab and was pleased from both providers. Now that I am pursuing my Voice I first purchased material from IE and like everyone else, Im still waiting for Vol 2 workbook and the Week 2 CoD. I have 2,200 tokens (200 rack sessions) which I ordered June 2008 and have not use them at all due to this situation. I asked for a refund and IE replied saying only $500 would be refunded, yet I spent $4,339.00. WOW! I do have to defend IE somewhat as both Brians are very good at what they do (obviously) and have recently hired other network engineers that I highly respect, such as Scott Morris & Petr Lapukhov.
    Unfortunately, Cisco updated their lab exam which has delayed IEs Voice product release even more. Brian Dennis worked long and hard hour on Vol 1 workbook along with the development of the advanced tech classes and I have yet to see anyone give him any respect. I have been angry but I forgive. When Brian Dennis does release the updated material I know I will be pleased. My advice to IE is to come up with a more robust customer service strategy. To end this, I will also give my respects to Petr Lapukhov. Even though he doesnt respond to my damn emails I learn from him daily and its just too bad hes not on IPExperts team. Oh and Scott, you should not have left. You Pirate! ;o)

I don’t understand what is going on as their R & S products are receiving regular updates just nothing on the Voice track.

    Let me share my story. I personally very serious about getting my voice ccie number. I decided to study hard and get the most from both worlds – Ipexpert and internetworkexpert. I ordered voice bootcamp from ipexpert and voicebootcamp + workbooks bundle from internetworkexpert. Voice bootcamp in Ohio went very smoothly , all was great no complaints at all, only thanks. But that not the case about internetworkexpert. They cancel my first bootcamp in NY (woha) , rescheduled it to Dallas (airtickets + hotel + car on me, bump) . Than they cancel it in Dallas and rescheduled to Reno ((airtickets on me). After all they cancel bootcamp in Reno and promised to get a refund. :( Not good at all. Workbook #2 not updated :( I want to save money , but I was loose money, dont repeat my mistake. Morst important I losed time :(

    Interesting since that is not true and I actually worked for Internetworkexpert
    doing some beta testing a few years back. In the interest of fairness, I also
    did beta testing for CCBootcamp and IP Expert in the past as well.

    I have been TRYING to get a response from Brian D., sent over 10 emails and
    sent their “customer advocate team” emails as well. I even got them on their
    live chat and was told that “they could not talk to me”.

    As someone who worked for almost 5 years in customer service (i worked for an ISP in Israel) this is something i would always say to my clients – when someone is not getting is money’s worth he should know about it – especially if possible from the company he paid to get said service.

    Anyway keep in mind – as someone who saw the full extent of both the IPexpert and the IE R&S and SP and Voice offerings – both have a lot to offer and if possible i still would consider both (why choose one over the other when there is an option of choosing both).
    I would agree on this – as for the Voice track – IE really made a very very very large “booboo” here and now they are paying for it….

In today’s economic condition we have a company that is feeling the crunch just as much as us consumers and yet they continue to put us first. If this type of attitude mixed with actions don’t promote customer loyalty I don’t know what will. Wayne and Matt once again you guys prove how awesome you are. Semper Fi.

    wow that’s what I call customer service. I am sure Matt took advantage of the mishap but that’s perfectly legal. If IE didn’t slip the way they did and Anthony didn’t write the way he did, I am sure Matt wouldn’t have this opportunity. I have NEVER worked with IPX material but I am excited about the customer service. I hope it is same for the customers once they are done “paying”. Great job guys (coming from a true IE guy)

If IE didn’t slip the way they did and Anthony didn’t write the way he did, I am sure Matt wouldn’t have this opportunity. I have NEVER worked with IPX material but I am excited about the customer service. I hope it is same for the customers once they are done “paying”. Great job guys (coming from a true IE guy)
